On November 2nd, the Open RAN Policy Coalition, along with partner associations Assocham and Keidanren, hosted the Fifth Quad Open RAN Forum in Washington, D.C.
This meeting, which included participants from the governments of Australia, India, Japan, and the U.S., served as a continuation the Track 1.5 dialogue on Open RAN. In this series of events and meetings, we bring together government and industry leaders to discuss progress on Open RAN deployments and facilitating innovation in telecoms infrastructure, with a particular focus on nations participating in the Quadrilateral Security Dialogue.
At the Fifth Quad Open RAN Forum, participants covered topics including financing for Open RAN deployments, and bridging to non-Quad efforts. Private sector presentations highlighted industry efforts on Open RAN and continued efforts toward secure and trusted infrastructure for 5G and advanced wireless networks.
