“Today President Biden signed into law the bipartisan CHIPS and Science Act of 2022, landmark legislation that contains funding for research and development critical to increasing supplier diversity, as well as the ongoing deployment of Open RAN. This historic investment in the creation of reliable, secure and sustainable telecommunications supply chain would not have been possible without support from President Biden, Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo, and Members of Congress from both sides of the aisle. The Open RAN Policy Coalition applauds their diligent work to further advance wireless technologies and their leadership in working together to get this important legislation across the finish line.”
